During the 25th "World Intellectual Property Day", the results of the "2024 Typical Cases of Intellectual Property Protection by Chinese and Foreign Enterprises" collection activity, co-hosted by Xinhua News Agency Client and the Capital Intellectual Property Service Industry Association, were announced. A case represented by Beijing Lisheng Intellectual Property Agency stood out from fierce competition and was successfully selected.
Supported by institutions such as the State Intellectual Property Office and the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, this collection activity solicited cases extensively from intellectual property service institutions and Chinese and foreign enterprises. After strict screening, 41 cases were finally shortlisted, covering fields such as demonstration services, operation management, and dispute resolution.
The evaluation panel, composed of industry experts and scholars, conducted comprehensive assessments from dimensions such as authenticity, representativeness, and influence to ensure that the cases could provide practical references for the industry. The case selected by Lisheng focuses on a patent dispute involving a leading Chinese home appliance giant. In a complex situation, relying on profound professional accumulation and rich practical experience, it successfully maintained the validity of all involved patents and helped the enterprise take the initiative to initiate rights protection actions against foreign companies.
This case is a classic example of Chinese enterprises in international intellectual property games. It not only effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of a large domestic home appliance company but also provided the industry with a practical model combining "technological innovation + legal offense and defense".
